Capture
A multi-sensor pod mounts to a vehicle that is already making its rounds — no dedicated survey fleet, no new journeys. Visible and thermal imaging, air quality sensing, and a positioning and motion spine that lets every reading be placed precisely on the ground and rejected when conditions say it should be.
The design constraint that shapes everything: it has to survive a normal working vehicle. Weather, vibration, power, mounting, and a driver whose job is not to run a survey.

Process at the edge
Raw sensor output at survey rates is enormous, and moving all of it is the fastest way to make a system uneconomic. Processing happens on the vehicle, so what leaves is structured observation rather than raw footage — which is what makes continuous capture affordable rather than a science project.

Fuse
Measured passes are combined with open and statutory sources — energy performance data, national mapping, reference monitoring, satellite observation — into a single layer keyed to real-world features.
Every value carries its own history: what measured it, when, by what method, and with what confidence. A fused number that can't tell you where it came from is not usable evidence, and we've built for that from the start rather than retrofitting it.

Serve
Output is an API and a served layer, designed to sit inside the systems our users already run. There is a map, because people want to look at things — but the product is the layer, not the map.
Built for scrutiny
Environmental data gets used in business cases, funding submissions and statutory reporting. That means someone will eventually ask where a number came from and how much to trust it.
We'd rather that question be easy to answer. Confidence and provenance are properties of every reading, not a caveat in a footnote — and where we can't measure something well, the data says so instead of quietly interpolating.
Where we are
The first vehicle system is in build. We're designing it in the open with the organisations who would use the output, because a sensor system built without that conversation tends to measure the wrong things beautifully.
